Edit Stack Block form

The Edit Stack Block form allows you to update the internal host name format or the UI position name. If you update the internal host name scheme, N4 regenerates all stack names automatically for that block according to the new naming scheme. Changes in the UI position scheme do not cause N4 to regenerate names.

To edit the naming scheme:

  1. Modify one of the following, whichever is applicable:

  1. Click Save.

Yard Path Model Configurations for Prime Route Calculations

PrimeRoute for Terminal Tractors (PR-TT) distance calculations can be based upon either a block or a row yard path model configuration. Both of these configuration options are discussed below.

Per block yard path model configuration

The per block configuration option provides usable approximates for PR-TT distance calculations, and is easier and quicker to set up than the per row configuration option.

Small- to medium-sized terminals that do not depend upon the highest degree of accuracy would benefit from this option. Keep in mind that the accuracy of the distance calculations decrease in proportion to the size of your terminal. The larger the size of your terminal, the less accurate these per block distance calculations are.

To set up the per block yard path model configuration option, follow the instructions in the Add yard path connections (on page 1) topic.

Per row yard path model configuration

The per row configuration option provides more precise distance calculations than the per block configuration option, but setting up the per row configuration takes more time.

Large-sized terminals that depend upon a higher degree of accuracy would benefit from this option. Keep in mind that this option might be more difficult to set up if you use a low quality yard map, which creates a large number of yard path connections to the block.

To set up the per row yard path model configuration option:

  1. Follow the instructions in the Add yard path connections (on page 1) topic.

  1. Right-click the established yard path connection and select Add Yard Path Connections per Row.
